Going to Press
The underlying assumption is that all of the items in a given publication will be presented in a similar manner. Each publication can use a different setup and/or template. So Publication Manager can be used to produce catalogs, flyers, price lists and other documents, all from data captured in Product Organizer. There are two parts to defining a publication, the Publication Manager part, and the Frame Maker part. The Publication Manager part consists of specifying which elements will be used, how they will be sequenced and indexed. The Frame Maker part consists of creating a Frame Maker mif file that is used as a template. The Frame Maker template determines the actual appearance of the printed output. For example, Frame Maker controls font usage, page layout, and the table of contents.
